Stacey Lunin, an aspiring model and specialty performer from NYC, decided to visit Philly for an extended bodypainted adventure. The infamous Jam on the River festival had just been resurrected from the dead and she was coming down to get her Jam on! She figured it would be the perfect opportunity to finally get some paint in the Bodypaint.Me studio AND dance the night away to some seriously awesome live music. (Lotus KILLED it!) She had recently been painted by the master face and body painter Mark Reid at IMATS so we knew we had to come up with something extra fancy. We delved into our favorite bodypaint reference book, the Tattoo Johnny Idea Design Book, and found a beautiful illustration of a hummingbird and flower. Several hours of painting and improvising later we transformed Stacey into the fanciest hummingbird of all! Complete with a hand sewn backdrop by our yarn bomber friend, Jessie Hemmons.

Sadly enough, every Bodypaint.Me adventure ends with the inevitable destruction of a beautiful masterpiece. Its always tough let go and deal with the fact that the artwork is going to disappear into the abyss forever and ever. So we headed out to the Penthouse and documented the ritualistic process of removing the artwork that took an entire evening to apply!!
