We have all experienced it. The sense that you’ve already lived that moment in the past. Or maybe in a dream. Or just maybe, it’s a possible scenario that can unfold in your future. Deja Vu has been studied for centuries and we still aren’t sure what is behind this mysterious phenomenon. Regardless of your personal beliefs, we can all agree that deja vu is a part of all of our lives. And if you take a minute to acknowledge that moment and dig a little deeper maybe you’ll find something you never knew you were looking for!

In this session bodypainter Matt Deifer and model Nikki Mihalek joined forces in the Bodypaint.me studio to dig deeper into lighting and ethereal poses and tied it all together with some experimental painting techniques. The final pictures capture some of the fleeting moments of the session but the true experience happened within. The energy that transferred between the artist and muse and the interplay between the visible and invisible light spectrums created a message that will continue to echo between the participants and throughout the cosmos. If you want to learn more about the energy behind this experience read this augmented dissertation on Deja vu, synchronicity, causality, and time. It’s a fascinating read if you have any interest in exploring your unconscious!

This is what the painting looked like during the first hour. This style of painting takes hour of layering and waiting for paint to dry. Stay tuned for our next studio collaboration. We’re introducing blacklight airbrush techniques for the first time and we couldn’t be more excited!
