Bodypaint can be a very effective form of art therapy. The experience often transforms both the physical and spiritual bodies. We teamed up with White Bear Healer who is a member of the Wampanoag Tribe, also known as the People of the First Light, for a tribute to her healing energies while paying homage to her ancestry through traditional body art and symbolic paintings of chakras and other images found within her tribe. The Wampanoag Tribe has inhabited Southeastern Massachusetts for over 12,000 years and has become very well known as the tribe that was part of the Thanksgiving tradition. The story we all learned is inaccurate and this article by Indian Country Today did a great job of describing what really happened.

White Bear Healer focuses on Quantum Healings and Readings that includes a one hour meditation with sound healing, breathing, visualizations, and aura cleansing. We hope to illustrate some of her healing energies for you with this set of bodypaint and photography by Matt Deifer in our studio in Los Angeles.
