Samantha Sapphire is a traveling professional performance artist, model, designer and instructor based in Los Angeles. She aspires to inspire those who interact with her to do what makes them feel most alive in life.
Every Spring in LA purple explodes across the city because of the beautiful jacaranda trees. The streets on my block are lined with them and there’s a small moment during street sweeping in the early hours of the morning where my block is free from cars. Samantha and I decided to start painting at 7 am and give a proper tribute to these gorgeous trees. We had less than an hour to improvise a bodypainting and get ready for the shoot. A bunch of neighbors came running out of their houses to greet us and take pictures. They were in awe as she towered high above the ground in her stilts and danced in the sky with her purple friends.
